Child Development and Learning: Review the organization of California Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations PTKLF for children aged three to five and a half in early education programs.

The PTKLF also describes the knowledge and skills that serve as the foundation for long-range learning and academic achievement in kindergarten through grade twelve. The PTKLF describes expectations across nine domains in early learning and development in a similar way that the content standards in K–12 define the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire in various content areas at each grade level.
